Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bjj Catch Wrestler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Hooks!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catch Wrestler misses with a head kick.
Hooks looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hooks thuds his right hand into Catch Wrestler's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Catch Wrestler throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A right-left combo lands from Hooks.
Hooks scores with the left hand. Catch Wrestler knows he should have avoided that one.
Hooks chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hooks has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Catch Wrestler avoids a punch combination nicely.
Catch Wrestler changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Hooks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Catch Wrestler momentarily.
Hooks stuffs the takedown attempt from Catch Wrestler. Catch Wrestler gets slowly back to his feet.
Good exchange - Hooks coming out on top.

Catch Wrestler tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hooks counters with a nice uppercut.

Hooks lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Catch Wrestler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hooks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hooks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Catch Wrestler doesn't seem bothered though.

Catch Wrestler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hooks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Catch Wrestler somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Catch Wrestler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hooks shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hooks content to control rather than advance.
Catch Wrestler is trying to get back to full guard.

Catch Wrestler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hooks pulls his head out easily.

Catch Wrestler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hooks is just riding it out for now. Catch Wrestler eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Catch Wrestler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hooks has managed to free his arm - good work.
Catch Wrestler is looking to advance position but Hooks won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Catch Wrestler is working for a kimura but Hooks is defending it quite comfortably.
Hooks wants to improve his position but Catch Wrestler is controlling well.

Catch Wrestler throws a strike but Hooks avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Hooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Catch Wrestler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Catch Wrestler won't allow Hooks to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hooks lands a jab to the head.
Hooks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Catch Wrestler takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hooks defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Catch Wrestler.

Hooks darts in and clinches Catch Wrestler up against the cage.

Hooks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Joe Hooks seems to be getting the better of the standup.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Catch Wrestler walks into a straight right hand from Hooks.
Catch Wrestler tries to move into range but Hooks moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Catch Wrestler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hooks manages to avoid it.
Catch Wrestler fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nice uppercut there from Hooks.

Catch Wrestler gets caught flat footed, as Hooks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Catch Wrestler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hooks is one step ahead there.

Catch Wrestler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hooks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hooks trying to control but Catch Wrestler is working from the bottom.
Catch Wrestler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Catch Wrestler is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hooks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Catch Wrestler's body to avoid the submission. Catch Wrestler has instead reached around Hooks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Catch Wrestler arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bjj Catch Wrestler!
