Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rashid Magomedov (ranked 3047 p4p, 323 weight class) and Coral Sea (ranked 3276 p4p, 343 weight class). Sea has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Sea, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
An attempted straight right counter from Magomedov misses the target.
Magomedov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Magomedov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Some bone on bone action there as Magomedov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Magomedov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sea sprawls and moves away.
A lazy left from Sea finds it's target.

Coral Sea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sea shoots in but no luck this time.
Magomedov tries to counter with a takedown but Sea is quick to defend against it.
Magomedov cracks Sea with a right hand to the side of the head.
Magomedov misses with a straight left.
We've been told by Magomedov's head coaches at Mary Gracies Jiu Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Magomedov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sea throws a lazy right hand but Magomedov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Sea shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Magomedov wants to improve his position but Sea is controlling well.

Sea thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Magomedov's head.
Sea throwing shots but Magomedov is blocking nicely.
Sea has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sea wants to take a breather but Magomedov is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sea stands up over Magomedov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Magomedov sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Sea doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Magomedov paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Sea - great work!

Coral Sea tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
