Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Runner (ranked 3884 p4p, 314 weight class) and John Sanchez (ranked 24675 p4p, 443 weight class). Runner's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shooting Stars. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Runner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sanchez darts in trying to clinch
and Runner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Runner's waist but Runner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

Sanchez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Runner counters with a head kick that drops Sanchez to the mat! Sanchez scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Sanchez dives in for a single leg takedown but Runner sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The crowd cheers as Sanchez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Runner doesn't seem phased though.
