Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sardo Song!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mario Santana!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Song throws a nice outside leg kick.
Song throws a head kick but Santana moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Song as Santana shoots in.
It looked like Song was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Mario Santana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santana dives in for a single leg takedown but Song sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sardo Song has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Santana.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Santana has control of Song's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Song regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Santana looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Santana looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Santana is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Song can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but I would say that Sardo Song will probably get the nod.

Song gets control of Santana's arms and successfully pulls guard. Song will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Song connects with a nice short shot to Santana's temple.

Song looks to land a strike but Santana avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Santana is controlling Song's posture.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Song passes into half guard.
Song performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Song will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
