Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Primo Volto (ranked 4666 p4p, 447 weight class) and Emmanuel Sanchez (ranked 4708 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez darts in and clinches Volto up against the cage.
Sanchez with a knee to the head.
Volto is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Sanchez stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Sanchez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Volto pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sanchez drags the fight down to the ground.
Volto won't allow Sanchez to sweep him here.

Volto drops back looking for a leg! Sanchez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sanchez manages to kick Volto off! Volto jumps back into Sanchez's guard.

Volto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Volto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Volto wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Volto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Volto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Volto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working.
Volto throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Volto scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sanchez to see if he's OK.
Volto trying to control the position but Sanchez is working away.
Volto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Volto tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Volto has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Volto advances to full mount.

Volto is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sanchez is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sanchez flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Volto anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sanchez and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Volto slips an arm under Sanchez chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Volto has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Volto is squeezing on Sanchez like an anaconda would it's prey. Sanchez fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
