The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton misses with a two punch combination.
Benton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bogduk.
A punch lands to the side of Benton 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Edmundo Benton has been cut.
FunkBoy Bogduk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bogduk gets tackled into the cage by Benton. Benton maintains the clinch.
Bogduk has a couple of punches blocked by Benton.
Benton is pushing Bogduk up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A head punch on the inside from Bogduk fails to land.
The referee calls for Benton to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bogduk throws a punch but it's blocked by Benton.
Bogduk stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Bogduk tries to throw a body punch but Benton avoids it by throwing Bogduk back against the cage.
Bogduk swings wildly with an uppercut but Benton uses good head movement to avoid it.

Benton is breathing heavily.
Bogduk misses with some punches.
Bogduk has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Benton seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Bogduk can turn it around.

Bogduk lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Benton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bogduk pulls his leg out and moves away.
Benton looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Benton gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bogduk gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Benton is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
