PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Len Guerrero (ranked 24238 p4p, 0 weight class) and Linas Radavicius (ranked 4547 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Len Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Linas Radavicius!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerrero tries to clinch but Radavicius is having none of it.

Radavicius closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Guerrero's guard.

Guerrero kicks Radavicius off and gets to his feet.

Radavicius feints and as Guerrero raises his hands in defense, Radavicius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Radavicius not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Guerrero lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Radavicius has a closed guard, preventing Guerrero from standing up.
Radavicius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guerrero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Guerrero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guerrero stands up from Radavicius's guard - Guerrero perhaps looking for a knockout.
Radavicius lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Guerrero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Radavicius as he jumps to the side.
Radavicius throws a combination that misses

and Guerrero counters by clinching up.

Guerrero gets control of Radavicius's arms and successfully pulls guard. Guerrero will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Radavicius won't allow Guerrero to get back to his feet.
Guerrero is wriggling around but Radavicius manages to pass to half guard.
Guerrero tries to kick Radavicius off but Radavicius keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Guerrero manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Radavicius keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Guerrero wants to break free but Radavicius has control.

Radavicius manages to pull guard.
Radavicius lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Radavicius passes Guerrero's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Guerrero works his way to full guard. Good work.
Guerrero throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Radavicius got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guerrero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Radavicius has managed to get both his arms back between Guerrero's legs - danger averted.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Guerrero is on top in guard.

Radavicius tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Radavicius wants to improve his position but instead Guerrero has moved into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Len Guerrero dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Radavicius.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Guerrero is trying to stall.

Radavicius is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Guerrero can't fight it off and eventually Radavicius manages to take the fight to the floor. Guerrero looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Radavicius postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Radavicius is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Radavicius stands and steps away. Guerrero gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Guerrero is trying to escape back to his feet but Radavicius uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Guerrero dodges the ground and pound from Radavicius.

Guerrero is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Radavicius is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Guerrero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Guerrero reaches up to try and control the position but Radavicius seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Guerrero rolls and tries to escape and now Radavicius has his back!

Linas Radavicius showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Radavicius moves into range and clinches up with Guerrero.

Radavicius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Radavicius throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Guerrero was covering up waiting for the punch and Radavicius finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Radavicius shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Radavicius showed some decent athleticism there.

Guerrero wants to improve his position but Radavicius is controlling well.
Guerrero is trying to maintain the position but Radavicius is very close to passing his half guard.
Radavicius wants to pass to mount but Guerrero is defending the position.
Guerrero is staying active underneath Radavicius, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Guerrero tries to roll over but Radavicius keeps him under control.

I would just about give that final round to Linas Radavicius.
I think Radavicius has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
