Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers shoots in for a takedown but Puelles shows good takedown defense.
Puelles closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rivers quickly recovers to half guard.
Rivers regains full guard. Nicely done.

Puelles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rivers leaves Puelles with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Rivers throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Puelles tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rivers is in Puelles's guard.
Rivers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Puelles looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rivers has picked Puelles up and slammed him! Puelles can't keep hold of the triangle and Rivers manages to pass to side control!

Well Rivers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
