Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kooch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Kian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kian has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Danny Kian acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kooch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kian's waist but Kian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kooch off to one side.
Kian tries to clinch there but Kooch circles away.

Kooch scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kooch is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kian has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kooch seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kooch has a takedown stuffed.
Kooch shoots in but Kian avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kooch drops back looking for a leg! Kian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kian manages to kick Kooch off! Kooch jumps back into Kian's guard.

Nice takedown defense from Kian. No joy for Kooch on that attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kooch wants to free his trapped foot but Kian is holding on for dear life with his legs.
