Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between EF Hutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Berendt Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for EF Hutton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, EF Hutton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Berendt Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hutton wants to clinch up but Hansen keeps it at a distance.
Hutton missing with a left hand there. Hansen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hutton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Hansen. No joy for Hutton on that attempt.
Hansen fails to land the takedown.

Hansen rushes Hutton and presses him up against the cage.
Hansen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hutton gets underhooks to prevent Hansen's takedown attempt.
Hutton is looking to break free of the clinch but Hansen has double underhooks.
Hutton misses with some punches.
Hutton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hansen has him pressed against the cage.
Hansen is trying to drag Hutton to the mat but Hutton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
EF Hutton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Berendt Hansen.
Hutton wants to break free but Hansen has control.

Hutton breaks from the clinch.
Hansen checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hansen has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hansen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hansen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Hansen counters with a takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Hansen stalls from top position.
Hansen misses with the ground and pound.
Hutton is not content to let Hansen control the position.

Hansen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hutton has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hutton is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hansen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hutton manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hansen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hutton decides to stand up.
Hutton clinches but Hansen breaks the clinch

so Hansen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hutton kicks Hansen off and gets to his feet.
Hutton fails with a takedown attempt.
Hutton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hutton is breathing heavily.
Hansen blocks a head kick by Hutton.
Hutton tries a head kick but it misses.

Hansen clinches up against the cage.
Hutton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hansen wants a takedown but no success here.
Hansen tries for a takedown but Hutton manages to get underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hutton misses with some punches.

Hutton has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hansen regains guard immediately.
Hansen controls Hutton momentarily but Hutton frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hansen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hansen looking for a guillotine here but Hutton defends easily.
Hutton lands a couple of digs.
Hutton throwing strikes from guard but Hansen blocks nicely.
Hutton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hutton is looking to stand up but Hansen won't let him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hansen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hutton is looking to stand up but Hansen won't let him.
Hutton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hansen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hansen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hutton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hutton is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hutton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hutton closes the distance and pushes Hansen back into the cage.
Hansen tries for a takedown. No joy.

Hutton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
EF Hutton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hutton looks to clinch
and Hansen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Hansen scores a takedown into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hansen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hutton is surviving well by controlling Hansen's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Berendt Hansen dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Hutton has his feet on Hansen's thighs here. He's pushed Hansen off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hansen screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
