Phonics drives through and clinches with Ama against the cage.
Phonics fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Phonics is trying to break free.
Phonics goes for a takedown attempt but Ama pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Phonics tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A left and a right from Ama both land. Nice combination.
Ama throws a series of punches but Phonics moves out of range.
Phonics shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Phonics has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Phonics is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ama reverses the position - he's now on top in Phonics's guard.
Ama looks gassed!

Phonics is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Phonics seems to be working for a kimura but Ama defends the submission attempt.
Phonics lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Phonics winds up and cracks Ama with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Ama tries to roll over but Phonics keeps him under control.
Phonics is nestled in close to Ama, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ama avoids the body shot from Phonics.
Phonics walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ama checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ama connects with a good right hand that stumbles Phonics. Phonics circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ama scores with a push kick.
Phonics just misses with a punch to the body.
Baby Ama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ama tries to keep at a distance but Phonics has taken the fight into the clinch.
Phonics tries to break the clinch but Ama is controlling the position.

Ama tries to land a knee to the head but Phonics blocks with his arms.

Ama should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Phonics clinches up with Ama and pushes him back against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ama can't break the clinch.
Phonics escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Phonics takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Phonics tries to clinch but Ama is having none of it.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ama has eaten all the pies!

Phonics moves out of range as Ama throws a body kick.
Ama tries to keep at a distance but Phonics has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ama throws a knee to the head but misses.
Phonics manages to break the clinch.
Ama dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Phonics. That did some damage!
Ama throws a leg kick which misses Phonics's front leg but catches the back leg as Phonics tries to avoid it.
Ama scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ama feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Phonics's calf.
Phonics tries to land a front kick but Ama steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Del Phonics is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Phonics throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Phonics scores a takedown into full mount!
Phonics landing strikes from the mount and Ama is in trouble!
