Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Bond (ranked 23958 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Power (ranked 4790 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rusty Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Power!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond keeps the fight on the outside.
Power tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bond defends well and Power ends up having to push Bond into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bond gets tackled into the cage by Power. Power maintains the clinch.
Power fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bond has hold of one of Power's legs. Power is fighting the takedown attempt but Bond gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Bond would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bond trying to control but Power is working from the bottom.
Power has momentary wrist control but Bond slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bond trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Power has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bond postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bond is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bond with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bond trying to control but Power is working from the bottom.
Bond throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Power works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Power closes the distance and clinches.
Power pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Power goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bond prevents it.
Rusty Bond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Power.

Bond has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Power is trying to keep an underhook but Bond manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bond lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Power tries to get to full guard but Bond has control of the leg.
Power is trying to stand up here but Bond is controlling him well.
Bond not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Bond is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Power is looking to improve his position.

Bond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Power actively working from the bottom here.
Bond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bond thows a huge punch but Power dodges it nicely.
Bond scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Power has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bond is working away from the top position though.
Power really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bond. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bond throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bond takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bond's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bond winds up and cracks Power with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Power keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Power is staying active underneath Bond, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bond decides to stand and escape the position.
An inside leg kick from Power misses.
Power shoots in for a double leg but Bond sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Power looks winded!
Power shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bond as he jumps to the side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bond clinches with his opponent.
Bond managing to block the knees to the body from Power.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rusty Bond dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Power moves away from the strike by Bond.
Power misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The fight stays on the outside here - Power looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Bond was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Bond defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Power.
Bond is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Power can do to turn this around?
Bond pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bond gets tackled into the cage by Power. Power maintains the clinch.
Bond is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Power wants to break free but Bond has control.
Bond has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Bond prevents Power from breaking the clinch.
Bond drops down looking for an ankle pick but Power pulls his leg out and moves away.
Power avoids the head kick by Bond.

Power fails with an attempt to clinch.
Will Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bond showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Power.
Rusty Bond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bond throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Power dives in for a single leg takedown but Bond sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rusty Bond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Power.
Bond is looking to clinch but Power is avoiding it.
Bond scores with a one two! Power had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Power shoots in for a takedown but Bond shows good takedown defense.
Power is breathing heavily.

Bond clinches up with Power and pushes him back against the cage.
Bond tries to score a body lock takedown but Power shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bond pulls guard effortlessly.

Bond throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bond is looking to stand up but Power isn't so interested in that idea.
Power is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bond trying to control the position.
Power controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Power stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bond swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bond pushes a forearm under Power's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Power is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rusty Bond!
