The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day tries to move into range but Steve Jr moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Steve Jr dips to his left and cracks Day with an uppercut!
Day on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Day is rocked!

Day is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Steve Jr's half guard.

Day thows a huge punch but Steve Jr dodges it nicely.

Steve Jr's coaches at Navy Street MMA have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Day is nestled in close to Steve Jr, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Day keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Steve Jr's head.

Oh Steve Jr is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Day gets to his feet and stands over Steve Jr, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Steve Jr felt that one! Day unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Steve Jr from any more punishment!
