Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brandon Walker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moreno.
Walker unleashes a big counter combination but Moreno bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Walker scores with a takedown into Moreno's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Moreno's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker throws an elbow that misses. Moreno uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by Moreno!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moreno defends it easily.
Moreno wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moreno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moreno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Walker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moreno circles away.
Walker avoids a punch combination nicely.

Moreno keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Xande Moreno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walker ducks under a wild hook from Moreno.
Walker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Moreno to score with a decent uppercut.
Moreno scores with a jab. Walker acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Walker is rocked!
Walker walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Walker limp body while Moreno jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
