Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nicholson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Nicholson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nicholson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from Wu are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Wu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nicholson throws a head kick but Wu moves out of range.

and Nicholson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Wu is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Wu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nicholson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nicholson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Wu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nicholson has hold of Wu's hands but Wu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Wu is nestled in close to Nicholson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Nicholson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ryan Wu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
