Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dropkick Flexy (ranked 3176 p4p, 371 weight class) and Donald McCalister (ranked 6071 p4p, 538 weight class). Flexy comes to the cage accompanied by Big Thing. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCalister tries to close the distance and clinch but Flexy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Flexy rushes McCalister and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McCalister looking to stall.
Flexy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McCalister walks away with a smile on his face. Flexy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McCalister rushes Flexy and presses him up against the cage.
Flexy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McCalister smiles and moves away.
McCalister is looking to clinch but Flexy is avoiding it.

McCalister rushes Flexy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Flexy pulls McCalister into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCalister tries to stand but Flexy is controlling from the bottom.

Flexy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCalister gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Flexy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McCalister defends it easily.

McCalister trying to stand up but can't free himself from Flexy's guard.
Flexy controls McCalister momentarily but McCalister frees himself.

McCalister avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McCalister postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Flexy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Flexy looking for a guillotine here but McCalister defends easily.
Flexy controls McCalister momentarily but McCalister frees himself.
McCalister wants to stand but Flexy is controlling his posture from full guard.

Flexy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCalister gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

McCalister throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flexy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from McCalister as Flexy shoots in.
Flexy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McCalister can pounce on him.
McCalister tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flexy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Flexy tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McCalister manages to circle out of the way.
No joy there for McCalister, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McCalister has Flexy up against the cage in a clinch.
Flexy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McCalister's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flexy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McCalister uses from the top position.

Flexy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McCalister can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McCalister really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flexy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's time! Flexy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Flexy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Flexy drops down looking for an ankle pick but McCalister pulls his leg out and moves away.

Flexy moves into range and clinches up with McCalister.
Flexy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McCalister is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
McCalister is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Flexy is defending well for now.

Flexy tries to pull guard but McCalister forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dropkick Flexy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flexy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McCalister after a bit of a struggle.
Donald McCalister has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Flexy jumps guard but McCalister turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

McCalister manages to break the clinch.

McCalister is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McCalister lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Flexy looks for a takedown but McCalister sprawls well.
McCalister stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McCalister wants it to stay on the feet.
McCalister connects with a solid leg kick.
McCalister tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McCalister keeps the fight on the outside.
Flexy shoots in for a double leg but McCalister sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McCalister throws a right and a left that Flexy avoids nicely.

McCalister closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
McCalister can't find room to land a body shot as Flexy controls the action.
Flexy is trying to pull guard but McCalister has him pressed against the cage.

Flexy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McCalister smiles and moves away.

Flexy has McCalister up against the cage in a clinch.
McCalister tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Flexy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McCalister to keep the fight standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCalister is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. McCalister obliges.
Dropkick Flexy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McCalister's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Flexy seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Flexy avoids a punch combination nicely.
