Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Francisco Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Young!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers throws a head kick but Young moves out of range.
Summers really is a fat lump.
Sloppy strikes from Summers. Those never looked like landing.
Young closes the distance but Summers moves to the side
and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nice defenses there by Young.
Young fails with a takedown attempt.

Summers clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Summers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Young tries to clinch but Summers moves out of range.
Summers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Young avoids it really well and circles away.

Summers misses with an uppercut. Young saw that one coming.
Summers with a poor takedown

and Young counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Young.
Summers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Young lands a body punch in the clinch.

Young jumps guard and drags Summers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Young wants to get back to his feet but Summers is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Summers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Young works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Summers is fighting to break Young's control of his arms but Young is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Summers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Young is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Summers won't allow Young to pass to mount.
Summers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Young's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Young's back!

Young rolls, trying to escape but Summers keeps control of the position.
Young is trying to remain composed but Summers is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Young tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young wants to control but Summers is having none of it.

Young is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Summers throwing strikes here but Young is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Young bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Young prevents Summers from getting back to his feet.
Young is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Young engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Summers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Summers is looking to sweep but instead, Young has passed into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Young is taking a breather. Summers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Young looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Francisco Summers will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Young shoots for a double leg takedown but Summers sprawls well. He's pushed Young's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.


It looks like Francisco Summers has been cut.
Summers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Young moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Young takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

We've been informed that Young has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Summers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Young shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Young makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Summers tries a head kick but it misses.

Young pushes Summers up against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Summers is pressed up against the cage. Young has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Summers down to the mat. Summers avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Francisco Summers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Young.

Young takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Young closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Summers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Young is working away from the top position though.

Summers keeping moving, preventing Young from controlling successfully.
Summers pulls Young in close to his closed guard and prevents Young from doing any damage or advancing position.

Summers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Summers decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Young rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Summers counters with a big head kick but Young shrugs it off.
Young gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Summers counters with a straight right hand.

Summers gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Young is trying to pull guard but Summers turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Summers tries to circle away but Young has him pinned against the cage.
Summers trying to control the position but instead, Young has worked for underhooks and has pushed Summers into the cage.

Young has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Summers clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Young is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Summers is defending well though. Young let's go of the attempt for now.

Summers tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Summers is trying to stand.
Young takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Young lands a big shot there that rocks Summers but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Young is landing with some decent strikes but Summers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Summers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Francisco Summers showed his dominance in that final round.
