Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Coco Trippaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhnu Tuhnu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Coco Trippaaja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juhnu Tuhnu!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tuhnu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Trippaaja wants to control but Tuhnu is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Trippaaja desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trippaaja wants to get back to full guard.
Tuhnu tries to pass to full mount but Trippaaja defends it.
Tuhnu trying to control from half guard but Trippaaja is working away.

Trippaaja pushes Tuhnu off and gets back to his feet.

Tuhnu scores a takedown into full mount!

Tuhnu looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Trippaaja is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Trippaaja is trying desperately to improve position.
Tuhnu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trippaaja is looking to escape.
Trippaaja is looking to improve his position but Tuhnu isn't that keen on the idea.
Trippaaja wants to control but Tuhnu is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tuhnu takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tuhnu is going olschool here, as he tries to force Trippaaja to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Trippaaja shrugs it off.
Tuhnu looks gassed!
Trippaaja wants to hold on but Tuhnu pushes him away.
Trippaaja tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Trippaaja is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Trippaaja is looking to get to half guard.
Tuhnu controlling his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trippaaja tries to lock up and control but Tuhnu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tuhnu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trippaaja is looking to escape.
Trippaaja prevents Tuhnu from taking his back.

Trippaaja defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tuhnu.
Trippaaja holds on to Tuhnu as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juhnu Tuhnu dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Trippaaja closes the distance and clinches.

Tuhnu pulls Trippaaja into guard.
Tuhnu is pulling down on Trippaaja's head. It's preventing any offense from Trippaaja, at least for the moment.
Trippaaja wants to stand but Tuhnu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Trippaaja darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Trippaaja perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Tuhnu looking for submissions off his back.
Still in half guard, Trippaaja seems content to control.
Tuhnu wants to control but Trippaaja is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tuhnu is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Trippaaja pulls his head out easily.

Tuhnu is trying to maintain the position but Trippaaja is very close to passing his half guard.
Tuhnu has his hands clasped together around Trippaaja's back. He's all about the action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Trippaaja is thwarting Tuhnu's attempts to control the position.
Trippaaja is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Trippaaja.
Tuhnu struggling a bit here.
Trippaaja is looking to take a break and control but Tuhnu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Trippaaja is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tuhnu's shoulder. That is not cool.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tuhnu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Trippaaja sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tuhnu defending well though.
Trippaaja missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Trippaaja wants to get back to his feet.

Trippaaja stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Tuhnu moves out of range of the body kick from Trippaaja.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tuhnu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Trippaaja to the mat! Trippaaja manages to get full guard.
Tuhnu wants to control from the top but Trippaaja keeps moving.
Tuhnu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Tuhnu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tuhnu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tuhnu stops Trippaaja from standing up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tuhnu is standing up over Trippaaja. Trippaaja looks to escape but Tuhnu dives into side control.
Trippaaja tries to improve position but can't.

Tuhnu is trying to get an arm triangle but Trippaaja is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Trippaaja moves into the clinch successfully.
Trippaaja prevents a takedown attempt there.
Trippaaja has Tuhnu pressed against the cage.
Tuhnu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Trippaaja just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Trippaaja wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tuhnu goes for a takedown attempt but Trippaaja pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Coco Trippaaja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juhnu Tuhnu.

Trippaaja moves into the clinch.
Trippaaja misses with a body punch.
Tuhnu fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Trippaaja turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Tuhnu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Coco Trippaaja showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Trippaaja has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
