And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monson looks for the body kick but Vidal saw that one coming.

Vidal drops Monson with a nice combination! Vidal dives into Monson's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Waco Monson has been cut.
Vidal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Monson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Monson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vidal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vidal trying to control the position from guard on top but Monson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vidal is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Vidal throws a series of punches but Monson avoids them all with ease.
No joy there for Vidal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Monson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vidal connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Monson is rocked!
Vidal lands with a big right hook that stumbles Monson - he's out on his feet here! Vidal follows up with another monster hook that separates Monson from consciousness! Monson falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Vidal stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
