Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Lowry (ranked 2410 p4p, 297 weight class) and Travis Banks (ranked 5563 p4p, 506 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Banks's choice of entrance music: Darling. Fred Lowry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Lowry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Banks!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Banks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lowry is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Banks wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lowry gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Banks.
Fred Lowry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Banks.
Lowry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Banks's efforts to push away.
A right hand to the body from Lowry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lowry stalls.
Banks pulls Lowry into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Banks throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lowry uses it to pass to side control.
Lowry decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Banks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lowry counters with a nice uppercut.
Banks takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Banks looks winded!
Lowry lands with a good body shot.
Banks should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Banks takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Banks has his takedown stuffed
and Lowry cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lowry fakes the body blow, causing Banks to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Banks goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fred Lowry!
