Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Long Schlong (ranked 1356 p4p, 142 weight class) and Buakaw Banchamek (ranked 6420 p4p, 421 weight class). Banchamek has chosen Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Long Schlong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buakaw Banchamek!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banchamek moves out of range of the leg kick from Schlong.
Banchamek avoids the body shot from Schlong.
Schlong lands a leg kick that knocks Banchamek off balance momentarily.
Banchamek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Schlong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A bone on bone clash there as Banchamek blocks the leg kick.

Banchamek takes the fight into the clinch.

Schlong breaks from the clinch.

Banchamek darts in and clinches Schlong up against the ropes.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Banchamek has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Banchamek pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
A right hook to the body lands for Schlong.
Schlong misses with a punch on the inside.
A short uppercut from Banchamek.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schlong has his foot on Banchamek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Banchamek works his way back into a safe position though.

Banchamek is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Schlong is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Schlong has escaped and now he's on top!

Buakaw Banchamek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banchamek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Banchamek tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Schlong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Schlong attempts a counter takedown but Banchamek avoids it well and moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Schlong. Banchamek does a little dance to reset his feet.
Schlong lands a nice shot that snaps Banchamek's head back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Schlong slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Schlong is looking for a kimura but Banchamek is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schlong to get the leverage.

The fighters are battling for position here. Banchamek manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Banchamek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schlong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schlong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Schlong is having to fend off submission attempts from Banchamek, who is looking to sink in the choke. Banchamek doesn't have the hooks in though and Schlong manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Buakaw Banchamek seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Schlong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Banchamek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Banchamek drops back, looking for a kneebar! Schlong looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Schlong looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Schlong!

Buakaw Banchamek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Schlong is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Banchamek can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Long Schlong showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Schlong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Long Schlong decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
