Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bina Raga (ranked 2742 p4p, 331 weight class) and Sebastian Rutten (ranked 4032 p4p, 426 weight class). Sebastian Rutten is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rutten.
Raga half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Rutten shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raga but Raga pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Raga slips a jab and a cross from Rutten.
Raga changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Rutten tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Raga feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rutten throws out a powerful jab.
Rutten shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Raga as he avoids it easily.
Bina Raga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebastian Rutten.

Rutten gets caught flat footed, as Raga shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Raga looking to sit in guard and control but Rutten gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Raga lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Rutten can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Raga controls the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rutten not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Raga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Rutten pulls Raga in close to his closed guard and prevents Raga from doing any damage or advancing position.

Raga stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Rutten has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Raga manages to get his head free but now Rutten has transitioned to an armbar! Raga grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rutten! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
