Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater misses with a kick to the body.

Slater shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Niller is trying to defend but Slater finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Slater escapes and gets back to his feet.
Slater really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Niller throws a body punch but Slater moves out of range.
Slater throws a quick counter head kick but Niller was just out of range.

Slater forces Niller back against the cage and clinches.

Slater breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Slater stuffs the takedown.
Slater tries to counter with a takedown but Niller is quick to defend against it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Niller wants to clinch but Slater slips to the side

and Slater counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slater.
Slater will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Niller has momentary wrist control but Slater slips an elbow through the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slater is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Slater has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slater is in close to Niller's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slater chips away with some ground and pound.

It looks like Mason Niller has been cut.
Slater with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Niller is still in real trouble! Can Slater finish him?
Slater lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Niller is trying to hold Slater in close to prevent damage but Slater has managed to pass into half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Niller is looking to improve his position.
Niller is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Slater scores with a couple of nice shots.

Slater stands up out of the half guard.
Niller avoids the head kick by Slater.
Niller dives in and grabs Slater's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slater pushes down on Niller's head and hops out.

Slater postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Niller is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Slater, into his guard.

Slater pushes Niller off and gets back to his feet.
Niller shoots in but Slater avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Slater throws a quick counter head kick but Niller was just out of range.
Hipolito Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Niller.
Niller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It looked like Slater was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Niller.

Niller tries to clinch up but Slater circles away and keeps his distance.
Slater looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Niller dives in and grabs Slater's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slater pushes down on Niller's head and hops out.

Slater scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Slater looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slater slips a nice elbow through Niller's hands, connecting with Niller's forehead.
Slater scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Slater is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Slater decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
A head kick misses from Niller.
Slater was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Niller closes the distance but Slater moves to the side

and Slater counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Niller is wriggling around but Slater manages to pass to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hipolito Slater dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mason Niller's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Slater thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Niller wants to hit a switch here but Slater passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Niller there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slater lands a nice shot to the head.

Slater is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Slater!
