Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devon Finnes (ranked 4373 p4p, 457 weight class) and Jonathon Phillips (ranked 7226 p4p, 586 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finnes closes the distance and pushes Phillips back into the ropes.
Phillips blocks an elbow strike from Finnes.
Phillips is trying to drag Finnes to the mat but Finnes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Finnes will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Phillips up against the ropes.

Phillips goes for a double leg but Finnes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Finnes continues to drive forward.

Finnes misses with a hook to the ribs.

Finnes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Finnes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Phillips's guard.

Phillips throws his legs up looking for a submission but Finnes uses it to pass to side control.
Finnes looks up at the clock and then as Phillips takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Finnes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Finnes moves into range and clinches up with Phillips.
Finnes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Phillips is defending well for now.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Phillips throws an elbow but misses.

Finnes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Phillips throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Finnes's waist but Finnes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Phillips off to one side.
Finnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Jonathon Phillips has been cut.
Finnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Phillips takes one to the side of the head.

Finnes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Phillips, pushing him back against the ropes.

Finnes closes the distance and pushes Phillips back into the ropes.

Finnes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Finnes throws a big uppercut that drops Phillips! More strikes from Finnes and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Phillips lies dazed against the ropes as Finnes celebrates with his cornermen!
