Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Brock (ranked 4765 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kario Rack (ranked 2868 p4p, 0 weight class). John Brock has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Brock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kario Rack!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nice takedown defense from Rack. No joy for Brock on that attempt.
Rack is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rack has eaten all the pies!
Rack stuffs the takedown.
Brock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rack sprawls well. Rack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brock gets slowly back to his feet.
And Rack tries to counter it with a takedown but Brock pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Brock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rack defends it nicely.

Brock shoots for a takedown but Rack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Brock clinches.

Rack gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Brock regains guard.
Rack sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Rack's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Rack trying to control the position from guard on top but Brock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Brock is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Brock has managed to clinch.
Brock has Rack pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rack manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rack looking for a takedown.

Brock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brock darts in looking for a takedown but Rack gets double underhooks and turns Brock into the cage.
Brock tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rack defends well and Brock ends up having to push Rack into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And Rack tries to counter it with a takedown but Brock pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Brock has closed the distance and engaged Rack in a clinch.
Brock is trying to break free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rack is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Brock can't fight it off and eventually Rack manages to take the fight to the floor. Brock looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rack is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kario Rack dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Brock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rack defends it nicely.
Rack was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Brock fails with a takedown attempt.
Rack changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rack, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Brock tightens his grip and picks Rack up, before dumping him to the ground. Rack manages to land in guard.
Rack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rack might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brock haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Brock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Brock in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Rack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brock is one step ahead there.
Brock sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Brock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Brock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rack decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brock's guard.
Brock is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rack dives into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Brock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rack wants to control but Brock is keeping him busy.
Rack slows the pace down.
Brock is looking to regain half guard here but Rack keeps moving and retains side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
You can see the frustration on Brock's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brock regains half guard.

Rack is taking a breather. Brock says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kario Rack will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Brock fails with the takedown

and Rack decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brock's guard.
Brock lands an upkick as Rack stands over him.
Rack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Brock looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rack has picked Brock up and slammed him! Brock can't keep hold of the triangle and Rack manages to pass to side control!
Rack taking a breather here.
Rack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brock tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rack wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rack has control of an arm but Brock manages to advance to Rack's back!

Brock is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Brock is controlling the position but Rack somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Rack is looking to control Brock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rack avoid being mounted?
Kario Rack has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rack looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Brock with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Rack is trying to maintain the position but Brock is very close to passing his half guard.
Brock takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rack keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Brock is thwarting Rack's attempts to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Rack tries to keep at a distance but Brock has taken the fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brock gets underhooks to prevent Rack's takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Kario Rack.
I've got Rack winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
