PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Barker (ranked 3921 p4p, 403 weight class) and Ryohei Horie (ranked 24308 p4p, 0 weight class). Horie has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horie goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Horie misses with a wild body shot.
Barker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Horie gets tackled into the cage by Barker. Barker maintains the clinch.

Barker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horie's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Horie duly obliges.
Barker misses with the combination.

Barker lands a left and a right that send Horie crashing to the mat, dazed. Barker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Horie is rocked!

It looks like Ryohei Horie has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick by Barker - that's a beauty! Horie is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Barker can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
