The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toews forces Wallace back against the cage and clinches.
Wallace misses with a body punch.

Toews manages to break the clinch.
Toews closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Toews tries to break free but Wallace pushes him back against the cage.

Toews drops Wallace with a beautiful combination! Wallace stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Toews is looking for the KO!

Toews ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Toews no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Toews manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wallace manages to get himself to full guard.
Wallace knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toews on the ground.
Toews passes into half guard.
Toews works his foot free and advances to mount.
Toews unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Wallace wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Toews celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Toews!
Jonathan Toews bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
