Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ranulf Drengot (ranked 3964 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aloysius Wiremu (ranked 1973 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiremu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Billy Joel - The River of Dreams. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drengot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wiremu swivels and escapes.
Drengot slips under a jab.
Drengot looks to land a body kick but Wiremu moved away.
Wiremu swings for the body but Drengot moves out of range.
Drengot changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Drengot fails with the takedown
and Wiremu counters with a slapping leg kick.
Wiremu moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wiremu lands a right hook to the body.
Wiremu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Drengot is breathing heavily.
Wiremu throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drengot tries for a takedown but Wiremu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ranulf Drengot. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wiremu instigates a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wiremu.
Wiremu cracks Drengot with a nice body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wiremu manages to break the clinch.
Drengot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wiremu swivels and escapes.
Whack! Wiremu lands a heavy head kick that drops Drengot. The ref tackles Wiremu to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Drengot was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Aloysius Wiremu!
An out of breath Aloysius Wiremu thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Ranulf Drengot spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm so disappointed, but I will be back stronger!'.
