Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cross A Zoo (ranked 721 p4p, 108 weight class) and Kobayashi Jin (ranked 1188 p4p, 167 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A Zoo wants to clinch
and Jin counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A Zoo throws a body shot but no joy.
Jin throws out a counter right but A Zoo avoids it with no problem.
Jin blocks a low kick nicely.
Jin now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A Zoo tries to close the distance and clinch but Jin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A Zoo throws a combination. Jin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
An inside leg kick lands from A Zoo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jin circles away from the clinch attempt.
A Zoo misses the shot to the body.
And Jin tries to counter it with a takedown but A Zoo pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Jin swings wildly with an uppercut but A Zoo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jin dodges an elbow strike from A Zoo.
A Zoo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jin backwards.

Jin drops down looking for an ankle pick but A Zoo pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. A Zoo just stands there and leans against the cage.
A Zoo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Kobayashi Jin has been cut.

Jin tries to throw a body punch but A Zoo avoids it by throwing Jin back against the cage.

A Zoo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Jin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with A Zoo's elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Jin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A Zoo throws a right and a left that Jin avoids nicely.

and Jin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jin is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
A Zoo throws a series of punches but Jin avoids them all with ease.
Jin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but A Zoo defends it well.

A Zoo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A Zoo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jin can do to turn this around?

and Jin counters with a nice double leg into side control. A Zoo won't be happy with that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A Zoo is refusing to be controlled, as Jin sits in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
A Zoo is concentrating on defense, preventing Jin from advancing position.
A Zoo wants to control but Jin is keeping busy.

Jin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but A Zoo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jin has hold of A Zoo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. A Zoo seems comfortable defending it but Jin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! A Zoo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! A Zoo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Jin couldn't care less - he's delighted!
