The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Soriano does no damage.
Parker moves out of range of the strikes.
Soriano fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Parker on the side of the head.
Parker fails with the takedown.
Parker fails with a takedown attempt.
A jab from Soriano does it's job there.
Parker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Soriano throws out the jab.

Soriano clinches.
Parker misses with the head strike.
Parker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Soriano prevents it.
Pablo Soriano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Parker.
Soriano prevents a takedown attempt there.

Soriano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parker misses with a takedown attempt - Soriano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Parker forces Soriano back against the cage and clinches.
Parker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Soriano smiles and moves away.

Soriano tries to bum rush Parker with a series of wild strikes but Parker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pablo Soriano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Soriano fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parker, pushing him back against the cage.
Parker misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Parker.

Soriano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parker fails to land the takedown.
Soriano throws a left that rocks Parker and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Soriano dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Parker regain composure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
