The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laia throws a head kick but Andrews moves out of range.
Laia tries to clinch but Andrews is having none of it.
Laia has Andrews up against the cage in a clinch.
Andrews lands a takedown into guard.
Andrews slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Andrews wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Laia, who protects the arm well.
Laia is looking to regain half guard here but Andrews keeps moving and retains side control.
Andrews is looking to take a break and control but Laia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Andrews goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Laia has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Andrews but great work by Laia.
Laia creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Andrews sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Laia decides to stand back up. Laia steps back and let's Andrews get back to his feet.
Laia moves in looking to clinch but Andrews pushes him off.
Nice takedown defense from Laia. No joy for Andrews on that attempt.

Andrews drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Laia gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Laia cracks Andrews with a nice body shot.
Laia is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Laia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Laia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Andrews is in close to Laia's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Andrews is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Laia is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Laia has escaped and now he's on top!
Andrews looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Laia has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Andrews is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Andrews is on top in guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Andrews is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Laia has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Andrews looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Laia wants to get back to his feet.
Andrews tries to control but Laia wriggling away.
Laia defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Andrews.

Laia has left one of his arms exposed and Andrews doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Laia screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
