PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Sheehy (ranked 2038 p4p, 203 weight class) and Killian Armstrong (ranked 3212 p4p, 271 weight class). Sheehy comes to the ring accompanied by Tree falls - Timber!. Killian Armstrong has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheehy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Armstrong manages to avoid it.
Armstrong throws a one two combo.

It looks like Ethan Sheehy has been cut.
Armstrong has his takedown stuffed
and Sheehy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Armstrong swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sheehy counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Armstrong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sheehy but Sheehy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Armstrong throws a right and a left that Sheehy avoids nicely.
Sheehy is looking to wear down Armstrong with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Sheehy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Armstrong's knee momentarily.
Armstrong falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sheehy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Sheehy counters with a nice uppercut.

Armstrong needs to keep his hands up - Sheehy had a free shot at his head there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sheehy fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Sheehy drops Armstrong with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Armstrong looks back up at him and smiles so Sheehy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Armstrong is still on wobbly legs! Can Sheehy finish him?
Armstrong throws a body punch but Sheehy moves out of range.
Sheehy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Armstrong has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Sheehy swats away the attempt to clinch by Armstrong.
Armstrong seems to have recovered his senses.
Sheehy tries a head kick but it misses.
Sheehy dips to his left and cracks Armstrong with an uppercut!

Armstrong moves into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Armstrong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Sheehy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sheehy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Armstrong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sheehy is tightening it up a little... Armstrong has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Armstrong reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Armstrong taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sheehy!
