Walker comes to the cage accompanied by Evanescense - Bring Me To Life. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gibson's choice of entrance music: Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne. Derek Walker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Gibson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson scores with a jab to the body.
Gibson looks to land a left hand but Walker moved out of range nicely.
Gibson lands with a straight right. Walker didn't see that one coming.
Walker seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Walker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gibson.
Walker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gibson manages to circle out of the way.
Gibson dodges the punch combination from Walker.
Walker throws a looping overhand right but Gibson ducks down to avoid it.
Gibson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gibson circles away quickly and effectively.
A little jabbing left from Gibson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Walker slips a straight right by Gibson.
Gibson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Walker doesn't seem bothered though.

Walker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gibson eats them both and turns towards Walker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Walker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Walker doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Walker moves out of range as Gibson strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker misses with a hook. Gibson ducked under it nicely.

and Gibson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gibson throws a lazy right hand but Walker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Walker looks up at the clock. Bad move! Gibson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Walker. Gibson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Gibson!
A relieved looking John Gibson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Derek Walker stepped up to the mic, saying 'You should've killed me when you had the chance! ;)'.
