The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mysterio.
Mysterio throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mysterio bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Clay's head backwards.

Clay shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Clay was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mysterio tries to escape but Clay is in control.
Clay works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Clay is trying to get an arm triangle but Mysterio is defending well.
Mysterio tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
You get the feeling that Mysterio really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Clay is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Clay extends the arm and Mysterio is forced to tap!
