PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Donovan (ranked 502 p4p, 72 weight class) and Mwenye Kwadwo (ranked 543 p4p, 76 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Donovan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mwenye Kwadwo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan connects with a jab.
Donovan throws a big shot that misses.

Donovan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kwadwo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Donovan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Donovan tries for a kimura but Kwadwo is defending well.
Kwadwo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Donovan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Donovan is working to tighten his grip on Kwadwo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kwadwo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Donovan is really squeezing tight and eventually Kwadwo passes out! Donovan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Mwenye Kwadwo spoke after the fight, saying 'Thanks for coming..I'll be back'.
