Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerrod Tubbs (ranked 4814 p4p, 154 weight class) and Botros Martinus (ranked 24844 p4p, 0 weight class). Botros Martinus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerrod Tubbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Botros Martinus!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tubbs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martinus is fending him off so far but Tubbs persists. Nope, Martinus circles away and we're back to standing.
Tubbs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Martinus throws out the jab.
Tubbs drops down looking for a counter takedown but Martinus sprawls and moves away.
Tubbs shoots in and drives through. Martinus sprawls well.
A bone on bone clash there as Martinus blocks the leg kick.
Martinus is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Some bone on bone action there as Tubbs checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tubbs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Martinus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tubbs, pushing him back against the cage.
Tubbs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Martinus is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tubbs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Martinus.

Tubbs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinus's waist but Martinus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tubbs off to one side.

Tubbs closes the distance and clinches up with Martinus, looking for a takedown. Tubbs pushes Martinus against the cage but Martinus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Martinus really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Tubbs.

Let's hope that Martinus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

You can see the frustration on Tubbs's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Botros Martinus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Martinus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
