Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tompa Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiago Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tompa Hero!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez swinging wilding here.
Sanchez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Sanchez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sanchez is looking to clinch but Hero is avoiding it.
Hero closes the distance and clinches up with Sanchez, looking for a takedown. Hero pushes Sanchez against the cage but Sanchez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hero shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Hero's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hero has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Hero shoots in but Sanchez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanchez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanchez's waist but Sanchez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hero off to one side.
Hero shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but Hero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Hero counters with a shoot takedown. Sanchez fights it but they end up in guard.

Hero trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom.
Sanchez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hero is pushing down on Sanchez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sanchez is fighting to maintain full guard but Hero has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sanchez is trying to stand up here but Hero is controlling him well.
Hero uses his free foot to push down on Sanchez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sanchez.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Tompa Hero dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hero tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hero to the ground. Hero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hero will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sanchez throws a series of punches but Hero moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hero.
Nice takedown defense from Sanchez. No joy for Hero on that attempt.

and Sanchez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hero is pressed up against the cage. Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hero down to the mat. Hero avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hero swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez.

Hero tries a head kick but it misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
