The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Diggs counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Grace is looking to stand up but Diggs isn't so interested in that idea.

Diggs is trying to drag Grace to the mat but Grace just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Diggs has Grace pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Diggs pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Grace tumbling to the mat - Diggs dives into Grace's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

It looks like Earl Lee Grace has been cut.
Grace scores with a nice right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Diggs crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Grace - the referee stops the clock and Diggs gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Grace. Diggs manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Grace has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Grace fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diggs has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Diggs shoots in looking for a takedown. Grace tries to sprawl out of it but Diggs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Diggs tries to counter with a takedown but Grace is quick to defend against it.
Diggs has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Grace finds it's way round the side to connect with Diggs's head.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Diggs lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Grace has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Grace and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Grace feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diggs sprawling to the canvas! Diggs rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Grace finish him?!

Diggs walks straight into a right hand from Grace - that's dropped him! Grace jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diggs from any more punishment! Diggs complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
