The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jayjay feints and as Wang raises his hands in defense, Jayjay changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jayjay postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wang is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jayjay, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wang cracks Jayjay with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jayjay drops back looking for a leg! Wang is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wang manages to kick Jayjay off! Jayjay jumps back into Wang's guard.

Jayjay has gone for a leg lock! Wang slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jayjay's guard.
Bee Jayjay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jayjay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wang manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jayjay has Wang in his guard.

Jayjay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bee Jayjay.
