Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, New Breed One!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Capt Sully!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sully digs a good body shot into One's ribs.
Sully fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sully walks into a straight right hand from One.


It looks like Capt Sully has been cut.
Decent striking displayed by Sully there.
One keeps the fight on the outside.
It looked like One wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
One has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sully.
Capt Sully seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sully doesn't manage to clinch there - One circles away.
Sully slips a straight right by One.
Sully changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Sully lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Sully bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
One manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sully's best efforts.
One tries to get to full guard but Sully has control of the leg.
One moves into full guard.

One is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
One keeping moving, preventing Sully from controlling successfully.
Sully looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's one minute gone in the round.

One throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sully uses it to pass to side control.

Sully is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, One has escaped the position, nice work there.
One gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sully missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
One avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sully.
One slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sully accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

One is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sully is aware though and is defending well.

Sully got a little sloppy there for a moment and One has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sully has managed to get both his arms back between One's legs - danger averted.
One preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Sully stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sully fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
An attempted straight right counter from One misses the target.
One takes a body punch but keeps moving.
One checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sully pivots, looking for a leg kick but One is out of range and Sully settles back down.
One tries to counter with a takedown but Sully is quick to defend against it.
Sully throws a sloppy head kick
and Sully takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sully tries to score with a low kick but One moves his leg out of the way.

Sully shoots in and bounces One off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sully pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. One is keeping the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sully wants to control from the top but One keeps moving.

One throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

One working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sully doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sully manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sully working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

One pushes a forearm under Sully's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sully is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). New Breed One!
A victorious New Breed One thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
The defeated Capt Sully had this to say: 'Retiring this sorry ass.'.
