The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonard misses with a takedown
and Chapo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Kawhi Leonard has been cut.
Chapo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leonard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kawhi Leonard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chapo lands with a straight right. Leonard didn't see that one coming.
Chapo misses with a two punch combination.

Chapo rushes Leonard and presses him up against the cage.
Chapo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Leonards head.
Leonard tries to score a body lock takedown but Chapo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Leonard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Chapo lands a nice uppercut.

Leonard is rocked!

Chapo pulls guard successfully.
Leonard is still in real trouble! Can Chapo finish him?
Chapo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Leonard trying to control the position from guard on top but Chapo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chapo has his foot on Leonard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leonard works his way back into a safe position though.
Leonard seems to have recovered his senses.

Chapo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leonard is one step ahead there.
Leonard works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Leonard is controlling the pace.
Chapo is staying active underneath Leonard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Chapo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leonard on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chapo tries to roll over but Leonard keeps him under control.

Leonard is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Leonard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Leonard seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Chapo is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
