Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Brunson (ranked 4948 p4p, 485 weight class) and Solum Bumba (ranked 3476 p4p, 388 weight class). Brunson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Flinstones Theme Song. Solum Bumba will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Solum Bumba!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bumba throws a lazy right hand but Brunson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A quick step to the side and Brunson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bumba fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brunson on the side of the head.
Bumba scores with a nice strike.
Bumba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brunson manages to avoid it.
Brunson feinted with a counter takedown.
Jab by Bumba.
Bumba bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brunson's head.

and Brunson counters with a single leg into guard. Bumba didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bumba is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bumba utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Brunson postures up in Bumba's guard and throws a big left but Bumba blocks it.

Bumba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brunson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Brunson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Brunson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bumba!
Poor strikes thrown by Brunson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Solum Bumba has been cut.
Brunson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bumba because Brunson loaded up on that one.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brunson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brunson lands a nice shot to the head.
Brunson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Brunson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Bumba wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Brunson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Brunson!
A relieved looking Robert Brunson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
