The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lesner lands in his opponent's guard.

guy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lesner is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. guy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lesner's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

guy is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. guy gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. guy gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. guy apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Lesner manages to reverse the position and now he's in guy's guard. Nice work there by Lesner.
