Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manny Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flynt Shaddix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes into the arena with THE WINNER blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaddix on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Santos lands a with a good body shot.
Santos throws a sloppy head kick and Shaddix moves out of range easily.
Nice sprawl there from Santos as Shaddix shoots in.
Santos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shaddix shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shaddix can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Santos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Shaddix is trying to drag Santos to the mat but Santos just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Shaddix drops down looking for an ankle pick but Santos pulls his leg out and moves away.

Santos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shaddix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Santos landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shaddix takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Santos is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shaddix is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shaddix tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shaddix tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Shaddix throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Santos is looking to wear down Shaddix with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, if Shaddix is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That was a close second round but I would say that Manny Santos will probably get the nod.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shaddix lands with some strikes.
Shaddix takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Shaddix has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Santos's face.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Manny Santos.
Well Santos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
