Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Ster (ranked 677 p4p, 92 weight class) and Ray Stuckey (ranked 549 p4p, 74 weight class). Ster comes to the cage accompanied by The Automatic - Monster. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mon Ster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Stuckey!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stuckey throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ster lands a jab to the head.
Ster moves away from the strike by Stuckey.
Stuckey connects with a solid leg kick.
Ster throws a body kick that misses.
Ster takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stuckey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ster.

Stuckey moves into the clinch.
Stuckey blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Stuckey changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ster fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stuckey lands a nice hook to Ster's body. Ster takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Ray Stuckey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've been hearing good reports from Ster's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Stuckey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ster swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ster slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Stuckey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stuckey wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Ster is now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mon Ster showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
