Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Steele (ranked 585 p4p, 93 weight class) and Mario Rossi (ranked 1281 p4p, 182 weight class). Steele comes to the ring accompanied by Manowar - Heart of Steel. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rossi is looking for the big counter here.
Steele connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Steele lands a slapping body shot.

Rossi slips under a jab from Steele.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rossi! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steele. Rossi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rossi looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Steele looks to score with a jab to the body but Rossi is just out of range.

Despite the aggression on Rossi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

As Steele backs off Rossi throws a huge counter combo but Steele manages to avoid it all.
Rossi blocks a jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Steele. That snapped Rossi's head back.
Rossi moves out of range of the strikes.

Rossi lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Steele struggles to land a body shot inside as Rossi controls his hands.

Steele drags the fight down to the ground.

Steele has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rossi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Steele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rossi is looking to stand up but Steele won't let him.

Oh but Steele is tightening it up a little... Rossi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rossi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rossi taps out! Nice BJJ there by Steele!
