Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Stackhouse (ranked 730 p4p, 97 weight class) and Arlo Rochester (ranked 1231 p4p, 148 weight class). Stackhouse comes to the ring accompanied by True Blood. Rochester has chosen Voodoo Child- Jimi Hendrix as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Stackhouse !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Arlo Rochester!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rochester shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stackhouse sprawls well. Stackhouse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rochester gets slowly back to his feet.
Stackhouse takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rochester looks to land a left hand but Stackhouse moved out of range nicely.

Stackhouse drops Rochester with a beautiful combination! Rochester stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stackhouse is looking for the KO!


Rochester is rocked!


It looks like Arlo Rochester has been cut.
Stackhouse looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rochester connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stackhouse . Stackhouse circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rochester is still on wobbly legs! Can Stackhouse finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A swing and a miss from Stackhouse .
Stackhouse staying out of range there.
Stackhouse tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rochester seems to have recovered his senses.
Rochester takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Stackhouse misses with a looping right.

Stackhouse pushes Rochester up against the ropes in a clinch.

Stackhouse throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Stackhouse lands an elbow inside that Rochester shrugs off.
Rochester avoids the elbow strike from Stackhouse , against the ropes.
Rochester blocks an elbow strike from Stackhouse .
Rochester is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stackhouse lands an elbow that stopped Rochester in his tracks for a moment.
Rochester takes an elbow to the temple.


That has opened up Arlo Rochester's cut even more.
Rochester blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Stackhouse tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Stackhouse lands with a light punch inside.
Rochester tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Stackhouse creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Rochester's defenses.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Stackhouse creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Stackhouse throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rochesters head.


The cut above Arlo Rochester's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rochester has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rochester blocks a punch to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stackhouse lands a body punch in the clinch.
A short uppercut from Stackhouse .

Stackhouse lands a left hand.
Stackhouse lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stackhouse misses with a hook from the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Stackhouse .
Stackhouse lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rochester or not.
Rochester is trying to pull guard but Stackhouse has him pressed against the ropes.
Jason Stackhouse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arlo Rochester.
Stackhouse misses with a short punch on the inside.
A body shot lands from Stackhouse .
Rochester is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Stackhouse to keep the fight standing.

Rochester takes an elbow to the forehead.
Stackhouse softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Rochester jumps guard but Stackhouse turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.

Rochester tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stackhouse smiles and moves away.

Stackhouse has a couple of punches blocked by Rochester.
Stackhouse throws a head punch that misses.
Stackhouse scores with a nice hook to the head.
Stackhouse gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Stackhouse looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Stackhouse tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rochester fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rochester blocks the elbow strike.
Rochester takes an elbow to the temple.


Arlo Rochester's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Arlo Rochester's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jason Stackhouse !
In his post fight interview, Jason Stackhouse started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
