Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chak Norkjis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rinat Weinstein!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weinstein keeps the fight on the outside.
Weinstein pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Weinstein shoots in looking for a takedown. Norkjis tries to sprawl out of it but Weinstein keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Norkjis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Weinstein connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Norkjis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Weinstein tries a head kick but it misses.
Norkjis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Chak Norkjis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Norkjis wants to clinch up but Weinstein keeps it at a distance.
We've been informed that Weinstein has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Weinstein fakes the leg kick and cracks Norkjis in the body.

Norkjis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Weinstein swivels and escapes.

and Weinstein counters with a crisp one two that drops Norkjis! Weinstein thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Norkjis to his feet! Norkjis is in big trouble!
Norkjis is rocked!
Norkjis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Weinstein paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Weinstein lands with a slapping head kick.
Oh Norkjis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Chak Norkjis has been cut.
Weinstein blocks a head kick by Norkjis.
Weinstein feints with a jab and clips Norkjis right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Norkjis is sent crashing into the canvas and Weinstein leaps in for the kill! Norkjis tries to get to his feet but Weinstein is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Norkjis is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rinat Weinstein!
