The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Monster as he avoids it easily.
Tai doesn't manage to clinch there - Monster circles away.
Tai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Monster closes the distance but Tai moves to the side
and Tai counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Monster actively working from the bottom here.
Monster slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Monster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tai manages to get himself to full guard.
Monster makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Monster works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Monster moves nicely into side control.

Tai is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Tai is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Monster is controlling him well.
Tai is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Monster's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Monster! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Tai has tapped! This one is allllll over!
