Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seung Kwan Choi (ranked 2064 p4p, 233 weight class) and Savage Goon (ranked 2270 p4p, 245 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Savage Goon enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seung Kwan Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Savage Goon!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Choi. Those never looked like landing.
As Choi backs off Goon throws a huge counter combo but Choi manages to avoid it all.
Choi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Goon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Choi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Goon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Goon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Goon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Goon blocks a jab.
Goon moves out of range of the strikes.
A little jabbing left from Goon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Choi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Goon swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Choi clinches up with Goon and pushes him back against the cage.
Goon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Choi has Goon pressed against the cage, preventing Goon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Choi wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goon working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Goon prevents Choi from breaking the clinch.
Choi is trying to break the clinch but Goon is controlling him.
Goon blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Choi prevents Goon from breaking the clinch.
Goon works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Choi is trying to break free.

Goon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Goon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Goon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Choi's efforts to push away.
Choi is trying to break the clinch but Goon has him pressed against the cage.
Choi can't break the clinch.
Choi swings wildly with an uppercut but Goon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Goon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Goon.
A frustrated look appears on Choi's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Choi lands a hook that snaps the head of Goon backwards.
Choi misses with a short punch on the inside.
Goon lands a shot to the body.
Choi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Goon lands a nice shot to the body.
Goon lands with a left to the head.
Goon working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Choi is trying to push Goon away but Goon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Choi with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Choi throws a head punch that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Choi is looking to break free of the clinch but Goon has double underhooks.
Goon lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Choi backwards.
Goon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Choi pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Goon blocks an uppercut.
Goon is trying to break free.
Choi prevents Goon from breaking the clinch.
Goon content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Goon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Choi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Choi misses with a looping left.
Choi missing with a left hand there. Goon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Choi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Goon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jab by Goon.
Choi fails to land with a series of punches.
Goon lands a jab to the head.
Choi wants to clinch
and Goon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Choi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Goon counters with a stiff right hand.


Choi is rocked!
Goon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oh Choi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Choi closes the distance looking to clinch
and Goon scores with a counter punch that sends Choi to the canvas! Goon smells blood - he's punishing Choi with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Choi has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Savage Goon!
After winning the bout, Savage Goon thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
